Benny Rhe Hansen new CEO for Pan Nordic Logistics

Benny Rhe Hansen, 57, has been appointed as new CEO for Pan Nordic Logistics (PNL). He will take up his duties on April 17th. PNL is a Nordic logistics corporation that owned by the three postal corporations in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Benny Rhe Hansen has a civil engineering degree from the Copenhagen School of Economics. He has a vast experience in the fields of forwarding, logistics and transportation. He has held a number of leading positions, i.e. vice president of Swedish ASG, and his most recent position was as Group Manager for DFDS Dan Transport Group AS in Denmark, with responsibility for vehicle and parcel operations in the Nordic regions and on the continent. Rhe Hansen has been responsible for building up DPS's parcel operations within the Nordic region and has served as chairman of the board of directors in a number of the DFDS Group's subsidiary companies within the Nordic region and abroad.

PNL's initial position, with a postal company infrastructure in the terminal and distributions sectors, affords unique opportunities for linking together and developing operational systems and IT systems for customers in the Nordic region. No other company has the same coverage in relation B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumers) in the Nordic region, he adds.
Benny Rhe Hansen succeeds Per-Olov Östberg who will begin his duties as CEO of PNL on July 1st, 2001. During the spring, Per-Olov Östberg will assist Benny Rhe Hansen in acquiring a rapid introduction to PNL operations. He will then decide on whether he will return to his previous position as Chief Financial Officer for PNL or whether he will select another assignment within or outside the company.
