Gudrun Sjödén expand their cooperation with PNL
Gudrun Sjödén expand their cooperation with Pan Nordic Logistics (PNL). The new deal means that PNL also handle deliveries to mail order customers in Finland and countries not included in Gudrun Sjödén´s most important markets.

Gudrun Sjödén Design market clothes and home textiles by own design mainly through their homepage and mail order catalogues, but also through own stores. The most important markets are Sweden, Germany, Great Britain, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

It was natural for Gudrun Sjödén to choose PNL for the distribution to Norway and Denmark when PNL started their business in 1997. When their business first was established in Great Britain, they had difficulties finding a reliable local supplier.

"PNL did a great job helping us to manage those problems, which made our confidence in them grow even stronger," says Maria Roos, Manager mail order at Gudrun Sjödén.

The result of the successful cooperation is that Gudrun Sjödén have expanded their cooperation with PNL, who now also handle the deliveries to Finland and the smaller number of customers in the rest of the world.

"Being a mail order company, the price is an important matter for us, since shipments constitutes a great deal of our costs. PNLs offered us a flexibility that the other competitors could not match. PNL have also showed us that they have an understanding for our business and for the conditions within the mail order business. Besides, they were very nice and easy to work with," says Maria Roos.

"The cooperation with PNL has also made life easier for us. They have delivered solutions which simplify the handling of freight documents so that we can handle them in our own systems. We save a lot of time by not doing this manually. PNL also handle returns from the customers to our warehouse in Sweden," Maria Roos continues.

The shipments are delivered on pallets from a central warehouse in Årsta outside Stockholm to one city in each country. There the pallets are split up and delivered to the customers´doors.
