New actor beats Swedish Post once more
Lindex has sent their parcels with Danish/Norweigan Pan Nordic Logistics for a while, instead of using Swedish Post. The fashion company now chooses Pan Nordic Logistics as their logistics partner for all parcels to Germany. Swedish Post recommended their customer to turn to their competitor.

Many new actors are fighting against the former postal monopoly about the attractive parcel market. During a period of time, Swedish Post had problems maintaining their service for parcels to Norway and Finland. They advised Lindex to turn to the logistics company Pan Nordic Logistics for the time being. When Swedish Post wanted to regain Lindex as their customer it was too late.

-Swedish Post and Pan Nordic Logistics had gone their separate ways and we had to choose. We chose Pan Nordic Logistics, since we were very pleased with them, says Barbro Ekdahl, Manager Office Services at Lindex.

Now Pan Nordic Logistics also takes over the parcels to Germany from Swedish Post. Pan Nordic Logistics offers a CarryOn BulkSplit, which means that 100 parcels are put together to one consignment that is split up in the country of destination.

-This means that we only do the paperwork once. That is a relief, especially when we send parcels to countries outside EU, which sometimes can be a bit tricky. If we had used Swedish Posten, we would have had to fill out one label for every parcel, i.e. 100 times, says Björn Andersson, Warehouse Manager at Lindex.

It is also cheaper. Lindex first signed a contract with Pan Nordic Logistics in April. At that time, they delivered commercial consignments from Lindex in Alingsås in Sweden to stores in Norway and Finland. Now Pan Nordic Logistics will also handle the distribution to Germany. In all, the deal means about 8.500 consignments a year to the three countries. The deal runs until further notice.
