PNL in huge campaign quoting competitors on 1729 outdoor City Backlights
PNL is the parcel company that knows everything about the Nordic region. The competitors are many, big and international. But can not find their way everywhere…
PNL has earlier dramatised this in several prize awarded radio spots, where the company has made prank calls to their competitors and asked them if they can send parcels to specific Nordic cities.
Now, PNL continues raising awareness of the company. A nationwide Swedish campaign has just started, consisting of two price award radio spots and some new pieces of evidence. In order to be seen as well as heard, quotations from the radio spots are put on 1729 backlights all over the country. And to spice it up, huge Megasize and Superbacklites are also used.
– We want to strengthen our position as a newcomer. All companies must know about us and know that we, and nobody else, are the experts on parcel deliveries in the Nordic region, says Therese Kaiser, Manager Marketing Communications at PNL.
PNL will finish the whole thing with an Internet campaign. Anyone who is a good writer and can motivate why they deserve it, has the chance of winning a dream trip to an optional Nordic destination. Åbo? Holmenkollen? Färöarna? Hökarängen? It remains to be seen.
The advertising agent is called Tank/Y&R and the media strategy has been handled by Joakim Rosenqvist at Attention. The campaign will run during the spring 2006.
