PNL runs award nominated radio campaign with prank calls again
Today the Nordic parcel delivery company Pan Nordic Logistics (PNL) starts their radio campaign, where competitors are put to the test on how well they find their way in the Nordic region. The result is both funny and clear. The knowledge of the Nordic region is not overwhelming. The recently award nominated radio commercial will start week 10 and continues until week 22.
PNL is owned by Post Denmark and Post Norway and has operated on the market for three years. The company has the most comprehensive network in the Nordic region, which means that PNL finds the way to more companies and households than any other parcel delivery company.
Knowing this, and having the company mission keeping the Nordic region alive, PNL has decided to check how much international parcel delivery companies know about the Nordic region. By making prank calls to their competitors, PNL has recorded authentic phone calls, which have been remade to radio commercials. The first radio spots were broadcasted in the autumn and since the results were good, PNL will now run them again.
"As a newcomer you have to evaluate the market in order to know what kind of media will be the best one for you. We have been able to find that out rather quickly. Radio gave us the result we wanted among logistics buyers. The fact that our campaign also has been noticed by experts within the advertising business is a nice bonus," says Benny Rhe Hansen, CEO of PNL.
PNL started branding the company more seriously last year. The prank calls, which have recently been nominated to the award within the advertising business the golden egg, is the company´s second campaign. On 20. April, the Golden Egg award will be presented and PNL is up against radio campaigns from Systembolaget, Canal+ and Aftonbladet.
