We now reach every company in the Nordic countries and the Baltic region:
Pan Nordic Logistics’ Nordic post alliance expands in the Baltic Region
Over 85 percent of Nordic companies send parcels and pallets within the Nordic countries and the Baltic region. To meet the needs of these customers Pan Nordic Logistics (PNL), owned by the Norwegian and Danish postal companies, has today signed an agreement with postal companies in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The result is a comprehensive network that reaches every household and enterprise in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The partnership also includes sales and marketing. This new partnership is expected to deliver a volume increase in the region of 45 percent.
More and more postal companies are joining forces with PNL. On this occasion it is the postal companies in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The Baltic region has expanded rapidly in the last few years. Many Nordic and other European companies have established a presence there. The future looks bright, too. In 2004 the three Baltic nations will join the EU, which will make it very simple for Swedish companies to reach a new market with a population of eight million.
“We have been working in close partnership with the Finland Post Corporation since last autumn. Now we are taking this a step further and entering into an alliance with the Baltic postal companies. This means we can now offer the most comprehensive Nordic and Baltic network in this sector and so help our customers reach every home and business in the region,” says Benny Rhe Hansen, CEO of Pan Nordic Logistics.
Finland Post Corporation is now sharing its expertise in the Baltic region and will be an active partner in the new Baltic co-operative enterprise. For instance, PNL will be using Finland Post Corporation´s production solutions for logistics between the Nordic and Baltic regions.
“Our new partnership agreement with PNL will bring us a large step closer to our goal of becoming the best logistics company in Estonia. The new partnership will enable us to offer our customers the same services in the Baltic region and Nordic countries and to the rest of the world,” says Alo Streimann, Chairman of The Management Board of the Estonian Post Office.
