Pan Nordic Logistics to carry on without Posten AB

Posten AB (The Swedish Post Group) has announced that it intends to withdraw from the Nordic co-operation in Pan Nordic Logistics. Norway Post and Post Denmark will carry on with their logistics co-operation through Pan Nordic Logistics and continue to work with the aim of entering into an international alliance soon.

- Post Denmark and Norway Post are going to continue to run the business with the aim of entering into new international alliances within the framework of Pan Nordic Logistics. We have great expectations that this is going to succeed, says Kaare Frydenberg, CEO of Norway Post and chairman of the board of Pan Nordic Logistics.

Post Denmark and Norway Post are going to continue to operate the logistics co-operation in the Nordic countries with the same strategic aims as were formulated when Pan Nordic Logistics was established. The companies are working in order to provide Pan
Nordic Logistics with an international position that can guarantee the companys customers a coherent service over the countries borders, also outside the Nordic area.

Pan Nordic Logistics AB was established in 1997 by the three postal companies: Norway Post, Posten AB and Post Denmark. Pan Nordic Logistics is a logistics company whose aim is to operate and develop cross-border logistics to and from the Nordic countries as well as between the countries, by means of an integrated logistics network. The company was set up in order to provide customers with efficient cross-border logistics solutions and in order to strengthen the postal companies in competition with large international transport and logistics companies. The company, with a turnover of about one billion SEK a year, has its head office in Stockholm and branches in Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki.
